¨ The Orlando Regional International Council—under ORRA’s umbrella, provides a search function on the consumer side of the ORRA website that allows consumers to locate a TRC agent REALTOR® by country and language. The ORRA website allows prospective clients to be particular in their search. Transnational Referral Certified Agents have the experience and knowledge needed to assist clients in finding properties abroad or assisting foreign clients in their quest for a home in the U.S.A. Powered by Worlproperties.com, clients can view over 3 million available properties from around the world.

¨ ORIC provides a search function on the consumer side of the ORRA website that allows consumers to locate a REALTOR by language. With diverse cultures and ethnicities in the Central Florida region, the ORRA website allows clients to directly communicate with a REALTOR® that speaks their native language. The ORIC website also provides a list of languages spoken by ORIC members. This allows clients to reach out to affiliates such as immigration & visa attorneys that are members of ORIC, who can answer legal questions a REALTOR®, may not be able to.

¨ ORIC maintains a relationship with local national chambers such as the British American Chamber, Brazilian, the African-American Chamber of Commerce and more. We regularly host panel discussions to update members about the specifics of working with buyers from particular countries. As the global market differs, questions will arise on how to approach and handle these changes in different countries. Having access to these chambers allows the ORIC members to have direct contact with resources and vital information in their global market.

¨ ORIC hosts regular membership meetings and seminars featuring topics such as “Developing a Business Plan for Increasing Your International Real Estate Transactions.” This is not limited to ORIC members. The seminars are available to ALL ORRA members and allow agents to develop business plans starting with the cultural differences in their own home town and use that information, to understand and access International clients.

¨ ORIC hosts events such as a welcome and network function for international attendees of the NAR annual convention in Orlando. Held in the heart of Orlando and walking distance from the annual NAR convention in 2008, ORIC invited all foreign nationals and ORIC members to meet. This allowed for many networking and business opportunities for individuals from around the world.

¨ ORIC exhibits at consumer and homebuyer events such as the Annual Hispanic Consumer Expo. With the Hispanic community at a forefront, ORIC promoted reasons on ‘Why its smart to use a REALTOR®’. Materials were printed in English and Spanish and NAR’s Spanish commercial ran as an advertisement to 35,000+ attendees. ORIC also attended the HBC Expo April 17-19, 2009 at the Orange County Convention Center.

¨ ORRA participates in trade missions to various countries, including Panama and Hungary, in which we are NAR Ambassadors. We provide education and training on how to develop and build on relationships and manage real estate business effectively.

¨ ORIC contributes a monthly article on international real estate topics to Orlando REALTOR, ORRA’s membership publication. ORIC articles address both international and non-international practitioners and provide readers with news and information about ORIC activities; encourage involvement in international real estate; and offer solutions to the many challenges presented by international transactions and international clients.
